How to add information that is unique to a guide

There are two methods. Method 1 is to use an existing topic and simply add different content for any individual guide. Method 2 is to create a brand new topic just for one guide.

Method 1: Customise Text or Photo/Video for an existing Topic

You can add custom content to an existing topic from two different screens. Both end with the same result.

Add custom content from the Content Hub

From Content Hub, open the Edit Topic screen and then scroll down to the Customisations section. Use the “Add Custom Text” or “Add Custom Media” buttons and select a guide. This will open the topic box for that specific guide. Update the text/media as required and use “Save” to save your customisation and stay on the current Guide Content tab, or “Save & Go Back” to save the customisation and return to Content Hub. The text you enter, or media you select, will now display on the chosen guide only. Note that the topic must still be made visible for this guide, either with an active Tag or Visibility Rules.

Add custom content from the Guide Content tab

Go to the relevant Guide Content tab (click on the Guide name from the Guides list page and then click on its Guide Content tab) and use the 3 dots menu for the topic to choose “Add Custom Text” or “Add Custom Media”. The text you enter, or media you select, will now display only on this guide. Note that the topic must still be made visible for this guide, either with an active Tag or Visibility Rules.

Deleting Customisations

You can add both custom text and custom media to any topic but if you ever change your mind you can delete a customisation and it will revert back to the Content Hub version. To delete a customisation, go to the relevant Guide Content tab (click on the Guide name from the Guides list page and then click on its Guide Content tab) and use the 3 dots menufor the topic to choose “Delete Custom Text” or “Delete Custom Media”.

Method 2: Create a brand new Topic unique to one guide

Create the topic in Content Hub, just as you would any other topic, but do not give it any active Tag. Go to the relevant Guide Content tab and check the “Show Hidden Content” option at the top left. This will now reveal your new topic on this page, scroll down to find it and set the Visibility Rules to “Always Show”.
