What is a QR code?

A QR code is a type of barcode that can be used for links to websites: you scan the code with your smartphone and it then opens the link in your web browser, without the need to type anything. QR codes are becoming more and more popular and, with most smartphones now having a QR code reader built into their camera, they’re even easier for your users/guests to use. This is a QR code which takes you to the main demo Touch Stay guide (if you’re on a laptop/desktop then just point your phone camera at the screen and you’ll see it in action!):

How would I use a QR code?

You can add a QR code to any printed material that you create. This could be as simple as an info sheet to leave on the kitchen table of your property, we have a selection of Canva templates that you may find useful here. Or maybe add the code to a fridge magnet, or use it on your business cards or marketing materials, there are many possibilities!

If you are printing at home, then be sure to use good quality paper and the highest quality print settings to ensure the code prints sharply.

Where do I find mine?

You can download a QR code for the Quick Share link to your guide from the “Invite & Share” tab of each Guides page. Just click ‘Create QR Code’ next to the Quick Share link for your guide. The code will be in png format and you can then use this image when creating any printed materials, such as one of our Canva templates.
