1. MEMO SMS Usage
The MEMO feature lets you send timely, relevant information to guests via SMS. SMS is included on our paid plans that offer messaging, and each of those plans comes with a monthly SMS allowance.
- Monthly SMS allowance: Plans that include SMS come with a set number of messages each month, shown on your billing page as "~N SMS/mo." The exact allowance scales with your plan and the number of properties on your account, so larger accounts receive a larger allowance. Memo SMS and two-way SMS both draw from this same monthly allowance.
- Tracking your usage: Your billing page shows an "Approx remaining SMS" counter. Because SMS carrier costs vary by destination country, this figure is approximate — messages to higher-cost countries use up your allowance faster than messages to lower-cost ones. The allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle, and any unused balance does not roll over.
- Need more SMS? If you expect to send more than your monthly allowance, you can buy additional SMS at any time from your billing page — either as a one-time top-up for the current month or as a recurring monthly add-on. If you reach your limit, SMS sending pauses until you purchase more or your allowance resets; your Memo emails continue to send as normal.
Please note that the MEMO feature is intended only for sharing information relevant to a guest's stay. Using it for spam or marketing purposes is not permitted and may result in restricted access or termination of your account.
2. Guidebook Website Visits
Every guide has a unique web link designed to give guests seamless access to important information. To ensure fair distribution of resources and system performance, we apply a fair use threshold to web traffic.
- Fair Use Limit: Each guidebook allows up to 1,000 unique website visits per month.
Users consistently exceeding this limit may be asked to consider usage optimization or to upgrade to a plan better suited to higher traffic. In some circumstances we may also disable access to a guidebook or terminate an account.
3. Policy Enforcement
Touch Stay continuously monitors feature usage to ensure it aligns with this Fair Use Policy. If we determine that a user’s behavior is excessive, abusive, or negatively impacts the platform or other users, we reserve the right to take appropriate action, including:
- Issuing a warning and requesting that usage be brought within fair limits.
- Recommending or requiring a move to a higher usage plan.
- Temporarily restricting access to specific features.
- In cases of sustained abuse or misuse, Touch Stay reserves the right to suspend or permanently disable access to one or more guides or to the user’s account entirely.
These steps are taken to preserve the quality of service for the entire Touch Stay community.
4. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time in response to changes in platform capabilities, user behavior, or service requirements. Significant changes will be communicated via our website or direct user notifications.
