Pricing & revenue

Gross booking revenue (GBR)

Gross booking revenue is the value of bookings before specified deductions such as commissions or operating expenses. Reporting conventions differ, so state whether taxes, fees, cancellations and extras are included when comparing figures.

Practical example

Illustrative example

A manager reports accommodation charges separately from taxes and cleaning fees so the gross revenue basis is clear.
