Why we launched Touch Stay?
Touch Stay digital guidebooks are the brainchild of Andy McNulty and Joe Jones – two serial travellers who kept on encountering the same issue over and over again: an absence of clear communication with their rental accommodation hosts.
After realising that they shared the same frustrations, they vowed to solve the problem together – and in 2014 Touch Stay was born.
Designed to help any type of hospitality professional better communicate with their guests, Touch Stay has gone on to become the highlight of guest reviews worldwide. It’s been cited as a reason for repeat bookings, longer stays and most importantly – happier guests.
Here to help, not sell.
Andy and Joe vowed to create a product that “helps, not sells” – a principle demonstrated by our close knit community and our user-focused approach to product development.
We’ll never try to sell to you (if we do – tell us, and your subscription is on us!) but we will always try to help.

Meet the Touch Stay team
Our close knit team is dotted around the globe, working remotely. We each play a really important role in making Touch Stay what it is.
Queen of Guest Experience
Tyann has 5 holiday properties of her own, 2 rental management brands, and has been active in the vacation rental industry since 2007. She regularly speaks at industry conferences on guest experience and communications, photography, and social media. Oh, and she bought a bank and turned it into a vacation rental!
Creative Media Manager
An avid adventurer and storyteller, Hannah brings equal measures of travel passion and content experience to the Touch Stay team. Starting her career in digital marketing in 2012, Hannah’s also a trained voiceover artist, and she’s learned exactly what it means to create powerful, audio-visual content that inspires and informs.
Australia Community Ambassador
Hazel is passionate about all things tourism and runs an award-winning hosted country retreat in South Australia. She gives back to her community by mentoring local tourism businesses, provides input to local tourism committees, and now also spreads the Touch Stay love in Australia.
Back End Developer
Jane is one of our grounded earthlings. Which is to say she thinks pragmatically about developing our code, one of the things we love most about her! She lives and works remotely in Ukraine with our technology partner, Echo UA.
Front End Developer
Arthur is one of life’s thinkers, a personality trait we love! He takes the right amount of time to assess ideas, all with a smile and constructive approach. Whilst working at Touch Stay he also gets time off to study at the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Aside from being Andy’s wife (a challenge all of its own!) Hilary is our Accounts Administrator. When not at the desk you’ll find her dedicating hours to Time 4 Children, who help improve the emotional wellbeing of young children.
Chief Operating Officer
Inspired to start Touch Stay after a 21 month travelling trip across 3 continents, Joe is a firm believer that the best way to experience any destination is to ask the locals. Joe is a CIMA qualified finance professional who, prior to Touch Stay, specialised in finance IT projects.
Chief Executive Officer
Andy grew up on vacation rentals and, as a guest who found the paper welcome book underwhelming, he set to creating a digital alternative. Prior to Touch Stay, Andy held C-level positions in luxury fashion, at brands like Alexander McQueen, Gucci and Victoria Beckham.
Chief Technology Officer
A tinkerer and nerd at heart, Drew applies his diverse technical skills towards improving travel experiences. This, and his love of travel with his wife and two boys, led him to the vacation rental industry, where he’s been programming and leading technical development since 2013.
Chief Marketing Officer
Kate has worked in holiday rentals since 2006, helping to grow Holiday Lettings and then TripAdvisor’s vacation rental offering. She’s also a travel industry pundit for the BBC. A seeker of memorable guest experiences with a love of hospitality she's previously run restaurants & ridden pillion across Europe with just pannier to pack!
With a background in hospitality and management, Diana values the importance of listening intently and advocating for clients’ best interests. She’s as passionate about processes as she is adventures and, originally from Colombia, she’s now lived abroad for over 12 years- first in London, UK, and now in Valencia, Spain.
Front End Developer
Yurii is a proudly self-proclaimed nerd, with a background in logistics and a passion for travel. His love of learning and ability to tackle tricky problems head on are just a couple of the things that we love about him! He lives and works in Ukraine with our tech partner, Echo UA.
Back End Developer
Sergii brings extensive experience in both programming and travel – a winning combination for a Touch Stay Developer! Originally from Ukraine, he’s lived all around the world and is currently settled in Montenegro. Outside work, you can find him hiking or planning future travels.
Egemen began programming when he was still in high school, and he’s since turned his hobby into a professional career. He joins us from Istanbul, Turkey, and when he’s not at work you can find him reading a book, watching a play, or finding the time to practise the flute!
Head of Customer Success
A nurturer and life learner, Loren joins us after a decade of growing digital communities and supporting remote connections. Loren values flexibility for her family, and offering an intimate client experience. In her free time, you’ll find her renovating her home and gardening.
Mega Stars Manager
A former teacher and children’s advocate, Debbie is a passionate vacation rental owner (and Touch Stay user!) who provides stellar guest experiences at her mountain cabin in Arizona. Her other interests are travelling, being in nature, and most of all, her grandchildren.
Social Media Manager
Alice has worked in social media since 2013 for various companies and clients, including WHSmith and John Lewis. She loves providing value-driven content that inspires and strikes a genuine connection with followers. Alice lives in Bristol, UK, and outside of work, you’ll find her planning her next adventure or chilling with her cats Kevin and Penny!
Ned has clocked up over 10 years in digital marketing and comms, with a strong focus on creating engaging content for a range of brands and agencies. When he’s not writing, he can be found digging for records, peering through his telescope at the night sky, or onboard his local lifeboat where he volunteers as a crewmember.
Head of Product & Partner Marketing
With a background in retail, eCommerce and tech, Emma loves working on products that make life easier. Joining the Touch Stay team from sunny Barcelona, she enjoys exploring the hiking trails, old towns and beaches of Spain by train, bicycle and motorbike. When not on the move, Emma supports the thriving tech community in Barcelona, attending and contributing to events (and the occasional fiesta) with the locals.
